Halloween in London 2026: family days out, free trails and spooky castles

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, right at the end of half-term. Here is where to take the kids, from free trails to palaces and theme parks.

Carved Halloween pumpkins glowing at night

Halloween is on Saturday 31 October this year, at the end of October half-term for most London schools. That means a whole week of spooky things to do, and plenty of them are free or included in a normal ticket.

Free

A free trail along High Street Kensington from 24 to 31 October. On Halloween itself there is an evening event in Holland Park. No booking needed for the trail.

Included in a normal ticket
