Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. London Lately uses a few that the site needs to work, and, only if you agree, Google Analytics cookies that tell us how many people visit and what they read. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.

Cookies that are always on

These are needed for the site to work, so we do not ask for consent to them.

  • Your cookie choice (cmplz_*): remembers whether you accepted or rejected statistics cookies, so we do not ask you on every page. Kept for 365 days.
  • WordPress login cookies (wordpress_*, wordpress_logged_in_*): only set for our editors when they log in to manage the site.
  • Site access cookie: while the site is in preview, remembers that you have entered the preview password.

The site also saves your light or dark mode choice in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Statistics cookies (only with your consent)

If you click Accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, see which pages are read and how people find us. This helps us decide what to write about. The reports we see are aggregated and do not identify you. Google Analytics does not load until you accept.

  • _ga: tells visitors apart, kept for up to 2 years.
  • _ga_*: keeps track of your session, kept for up to 2 years.

Changing your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the button below, or with the “Manage consent” tab at the bottom of every page.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you reading the site.
