New Year’s Eve in London 2026: fireworks tickets, prices and viewing areas

Tickets for the London New Year’s Eve fireworks go on sale at 12 noon on Friday 23 October. Prices start at £20 for Londoners.

New Year fireworks over the London Eye

If you want to see the London fireworks from the river on New Year’s Eve, the date to remember is this week: tickets go on sale at 12 noon on Friday 23 October. Last year they went fast.

How to get tickets

  • Tickets are sold only through Ticketmaster. It’s a general sale, not a ballot.
  • You can buy up to 4 tickets per person.
  • There’s a smaller final release later in the year, but no date yet.
  • The event is ticket-only. Without a ticket you can’t get into the viewing areas by the river.

Prices

Prices are the same as last year, plus a booking fee. London residents pay less but have to verify their postcode and may be asked for proof of address.

  • Category A (Blue, Pink, White areas): £35 for London postcodes, £55 for everyone else.
  • Category B (Red, Green, Orange areas): £20 for London postcodes, £40 for everyone else.

The viewing areas

  • Blue: north bank, straight-on view of the London Eye
  • Red: north bank, side view
  • Pink: Waterloo Bridge
  • Green: south bank, behind the Eye
  • White: Westminster Bridge
  • Orange: south bank, accessible area with seating

You can’t move between areas on the night, so pick carefully.

Times on the night

The viewing areas open at 8pm and entry closes at 10.30pm. The fireworks last about 12 minutes from midnight, centred on the London Eye. About 100,000 people will be there.
