The UK’s biggest Harry Potter shop opens on Oxford Street on 4 November

21,000 sq ft over two floors, a full-size Knight Bus and Butterbeer on tap. What we know, and what is still unconfirmed.

Shoppers walking along a busy London shopping street

The biggest official Harry Potter shop in the UK opens on Oxford Street on Wednesday 4 November 2026. The date is not random: it lands 25 years after the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, came out.

Where it is

The shop takes over The Ribbon at 134 to 140 Oxford Street, at the Tottenham Court Road end. The closest station is Tottenham Court Road, on the Central, Northern and Elizabeth lines. It joins the existing Harry Potter shop at King’s Cross station rather than replacing it.

What is inside

It covers more than 21,000 sq ft over two floors, and Warner Bros. Discovery, which runs it, has styled the interior on Diagon Alley. The things people will queue to photograph:

  • a dragon hanging over a Gringotts Bank area
  • a full-size Knight Bus at the back of the shop
  • a Leaky Cauldron food and drink counter serving Butterbeer in its cold, frozen and hot versions, plus Butterbeer ice cream

There is also a range sold only at this shop, including a Diagon Alley wand, an Oxford Street Funko Pop, artwork by the film’s graphic designers MinaLima and a set of Butterbeer label prints.

Will you need a ticket?

Not announced yet. None of the official announcements say whether entry needs booking, and opening hours are still to be confirmed. Expect long queues in the first days and at weekends, especially once the Christmas shopping season starts. We will update this page when the details are out.
